Cancellation Fees.
We are glad to do the best we can to support our Clients in the process of making significant life changes. As a way of helping our Clients, Brisbane North Orthomolecular Clinic chooses to make our services as affordable as possible.
KEEPING COSTS DOWN: The fee recommended by the AASW for a standard psychological consultation of 45-60mins is $228.00+GST. At Brisbane North Orthomolecular Clinic, we work hard to keep the costs down, so that this service remains accessible as much as possible.
Unfortunately, when a Client does not attend their scheduled appointment, other Clients become disadvantaged and Brisbane North Orthomolecular Clinic incurs costs. Instead of increasing our prices, Brisbane North Orthomolecular Clinic chooses to recover these costs through Late Cancellation Fees as explained in the information sheet you were provided with. This policy is to ensure that there is clarity with what happens when a scheduled appointment needs to be rescheduled or cancelled.
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING:
When an appointment is scheduled, this time is purchased by the Client. Only relevant activities take place during the time the therapist is working with the Client. Please, ensure you schedule an appointment only during the time you can commit to. Prior to scheduling your first session, you are requested to make a $50 refundable deposit.
TIME FRAME:
In order to change or cancel the appointment time, a 2 working days’ notice is required. This time is necessary for Brisbane North Orthomolecular Clinic to allow someone to use this time slot.
PAYMENTS: Typically, we ask that you pay your fees within the convenient time frame of 30 days. Late fees may apply when your payment is overdue. Please contact us if you have particular difficulties paying your account and we will do our best to resolve the issue in a constructive way (e.g. payment plan of $10 per week). Please consider that we value your wellbeing more than a $50 note and will do our best to ensure your welfare is not affected by this. We also will not refuse you service if you owe us $50, please do not let these matters stop you from continuing to receive psychological support.
MULTIPLE CANCELLATIONS:
Unfortunately, as a small, local private practice, Brisbane North Orthomolecular Clinic does not have the capacity to work with high level of crisis where multiple late cancellations are expected. Clients in such situations are advised to access services able to provide more relevant support. This will ensure you receive most appropriate service by discussing alternative means of accessing psychological support with Clients who had multiple late cancellations.
